New to CrossFit? Your first month at Blackbird will be our Foundations for Beginners Program. Don’t worry, you do not have to be in shape to get started, just open to trying something new. We’ll teach you everything and take great care of you every step of the way. During this month, you will attend 4 mandatory classes, plus enjoy an unlimited membership to regular CrossFit classes. So you’re constantly learning and doing amazing workouts tailored for your fitness level.
4 Specialty Instructional Sessions
Learn proper form and technique of the lifts and basic movements, as well as CrossFit philosophy, recovery, goal setting, and nutrition to prepare you for success in regular classes. We offer Foundations in a group or 1-on-1 setting. A new Group Session starts at the beginning of every month, meeting Wednesdays at 6pm. Private sessions are scheduled at your convenience.
Mechanics + Consistency, then Load + Intensity
Our number one goal is your safety. CrossFit is not about finishing a workout first or lifting the heaviest weight. It's about consistently moving well, and as a result, improving your strength and endurance. Your coach will identify movement deficiencies and teach you the appropriate scaling options to safely get you started on your CrossFit journey.
We use data to track your progress. You'll do a baseline workout in the beginning and end of Foundations to showcase strength and endurance gains, plus an InBody composition scan to highlight fat loss and muscle gain.
