We are excited to announce a new 30 minute Mobility Session lead by Dr. Chip Bleam of Freedom Chiropractic and Rehab. The class will kick off this Friday, April 22, 2016 at 6pm. The Mobility class will be held during our regular 6pm class time. The CrossFit class lift and the Mobility instruction will run simultaneously. Members who attend the 6pm class will have the option to participate in the mobility or the lift and then stay for the workout at 6:30. While we are testing and fine tuning the mobility sessions, they will be open to all members regardless of your membership level and attendance will not count against your weekly limit. If you work out earlier in the day please feel free to attend mobility session in the evening. The mobility sessions will focus on the muscles and joints predominantly used over the course of the week.
We place a large emphasis on mobility at Blackbird because mobility work is important in optimizing athletic performance, preventing injuries, and resolving pain. Dr. Chip has been leading our Master Your Mobility Workshop classes on Saturdays for the past few months and has become an integral part in educating our athletes on movements and techniques to improve mechanics. Movement is Medicine!
