Please join us at Blackbird CrossFit as we band together to support fallen fireman, Lt. Nathan Flynn.

Lt. Flynn passed away in the Line of Duty on the morning of July 23, 2018, while operating as the “lineman” on Engine 101. He is survived by his wife, Celeste, and five children. He was a 13 year member of Howard County Fire & Rescue (Maryland).

We will be running this tribute WOD twice during the weekend. On Saturday anyone is welcome to complete the tribute WOD during our Open Gym at 8am. On Sunday at 11am we will hold our main community event. For Sunday, we have secured top of the line raffle prizes from some of our favorite CrossFit companies AND we will be offering any local fire fighters who attend a 20% discount on our Foundations for Beginners.***

We are honored to host this event to reflect on the sacrifices made by Lt. Flynn and all the brave men and women from Blackbird and beyond who work to keep us safe.

There is a GoFundMe page set up, and is being run by Howard County Professional Firefighters – IAFF Local 2000. We are asking for at least a $10 donation to participate in the Memorial WOD.

This event is open to non-members and donations can be made at the gym the day of or through the link below.

* RX–Two 45# plates to be used, however, you can not use the center ring to carry them, or handles if the plates are equipped with them. Get creative on how you carry them – under the arms or bear hug, for example.
