BARBELL CLUB is a specialty program of Blackbird CrossFit that will focus on improving the Olympic lifts, whether you are looking to compete on the platform or a beginner just looking to improve.

Both the snatch and the clean and jerk bring speed, strength, power, coordination, flexibility, and balance to your overall training while increasing explosive strength and output.

Athletes will have 2 options to enjoy barbell club based on their desired focus. Barbell club will be held on Thursdays at 6:00pm and Saturdays at 8:00am.

BLACKBIRD BARBELL CLUB is led by USA Weightlifting & Sport Performance Coach, CrossFit Level 2 trainer, and experienced OLY competitor, Chris Richelderfer. Over the past year, Chris has worked with 3 BBCF members providing personalized weightlifting programming and OLY meet training. He has led all of them, including himself, to podium finishes in regional meets and all have qualified for Nationals 2020! Under his leadership, we now have an official USAW sanctioned barbell club, BLACKBIRD WEIGHTLIFTING CLUB.

The class will meet on Thursdays at 6:00pm and Saturdays at 8:00am.
